The Lino Cutting and Printing Workshop is suitable for abilities.  During the workshop, Paul will introduce and guide you through a range of relief lino cutting and printing techniques using soft-cut (litho) lino. Working from a selection of prepared designs, you will learn how to transfer an image onto lino and identify positive and negative areas. Using sharp, Swiss-made Pfeil carving tools (V and U gouges), you will develop key carving techniques to create negative (white) and positive (dark) areas. You will also learn how to ink your block and print your design using high-quality Cranfield Caligo inks.  At the end of the day you should have a number of beautiful prints that you can take home with you.
